چکیده
Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most prevalent subtype of head and neck tumors, highly prone to lymph node metastasis. This study aims examine expression pattern Ras-related protein Rab-27A (RAB27A) explore its potential implications in OSCC. The RAB27A was assessed through immunohistochemical analysis utilizing tissue microarrays. In vitro experiments were conducted using RAB27A-knockdown cells investigate impact on OSCC tumor cells. Additionally, transcriptome sequencing performed elucidate underlying mechanisms. significantly overexpressed OSCC, particularly metastatic nodes. It positively correlated with clinical progression poor survival prognosis. Silencing notably decreased proliferation, migration, invasion abilities vitro. A Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment indicated a strong association between epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) signaling pathway. Further investigations revealed that regulated palmitoylation EGFR via zinc finger DHHC-type containing 13 (ZDHHC13). These findings provide insights into highlight as therapeutic target for combating this aggressive cancer.

Muc-1 promotes migration and invasion of oral squamous cell carcinoma cells via PI3K-Akt signaling.
Muc-1 is a member of the carbohydrate-binding protein family that contributes to neoplastic transformation, tumor survival, angiogenesis, and metastasis. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of muc-1 in human oral squamous cell carcinoma progression. In this study, we tested our hypothesis that muc-1 regulate oral squamous cell carcinoma cells (SCC-9) malignant biological behaviors,...
متن کاملPredictors of Thyroid Gland Invasion in Laryngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Introduction: Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) can invade the thyroid gland leading to unnecessary thyroidectomies with subsequent hypothyroidism and hyperparathyroidism. Thus, clinicopathological variables should be defined in order to predict thyroid gland invasion preoperatively. Materials and Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of 1,465 patients with laryngeal SCC referr...
متن کاملCircRNA_0109291 regulates cell growth and migration in oral squamous cell carcinoma and its clinical significance
Objective(s): Circular RNAs (circRNAs), a new class of non-coding RNAs, have emerged as important regulators during tumorigenesis. However, the functions of circRNAs have not been completely clarified in the progression of cancers. In our study, a novel circRNA hsa_circ_0109291 was investigated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues and cell lines. Materials and Methods: The expression ...
متن کاملHigh level of calpain1 promotes cancer cell invasion and migration in oral squamous cell carcinoma
Calpain1, termed conventional calpain and a member of the Ca2+-dependent neutral cysteine proteases, is considered to be involved in cancer formation and development. However, the effect of calpain1 on oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) remains poorly understood. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the possibility of calpain1 as a potential molecular target for OSCC diagnosis and ther...

Background and Aim: This study aimed to indicate the role of epidermal growth factor (EGF) in proliferation and growth of epithelial tissue and to determine the correlation be-tween the frequency of expression of EGF receptor (EGFR) by means of immunohistochemistry with survival rate in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Materials and Methods: Thirty-eight cases of OSCC diagnosed by hemato...
